Stay Vigilant, Be Resilient

As heaven was getting full, God told st.Peter to only let in poeple who suffered painful deaths. There were three men at heavens door.st,Peter asked the first man how he died and the first man said"my wife had been behaving strangely recently so i suspected that she was having an affair. When i came home early from work one day,i found her wearing a nightgown with a surprised and guilty expression on her face.True enough,i found a man hanging at the edge of the balcony. I hit his hands but he just would not let go.So, i fetched my hammer and hammered his hands. He fell a full thirteen stories but miraculously, he did not die. So i carried my fridge and threw it down at him.that did the trick.but then i had a heart attack and i died."st.Peter thought that this was a painful way to go and let him into heaven.
when st.Peter posted the same question to the second man,he replied"picture this: i was watering my plants 1 day when i lost my balance and fell of the balcony.Luckily,i managed to grab hold of the 13th floor balcony edge.but just then, a demented man came and started bashing my fingers but i just would not let go.So he took out a hammer and crushed my fingers.I had no choice but to let go.And as luck would have it,i survived the 13story fall. The madman was obviously not happy and he threw a fridge down at me!Needless to say,i died."st.Peter thought for a while, then granted the 2nd man entry.
The third man"s answer went like this"i was hiding inside a fridge when the fridge got thrown down thirteen stories and i died"

today i'm proud to say that,
"part A are not as weak as i thought"
.
this was proven by the 4 of you all who went for the
Bedok Reservoir Company Run
today morning.
..
To Melvin, Justin, Tommy and Keane,
Good job is completing your 4.3km =)
..
anyway, to the rest of you.
Company run is a weekly event for the
whole company (part A - D) to gather at Bedok Reservoir for a morning run.
the usual start time is 8am.
distance is 4.3km.
but, we won't be doing running only. it wouldn't be fun if we only run.
'Cause anyone can go and run on their own.
sometimes,
like today, we will run as a group and sing cheers throughout the whole run.
this will help to promote bonding between you guys =D
please do not let the distance scare you,
because if you run together with each other,
it doesn't seem that long actually.
.
after the run, we will/may do a little PT
like chin-ups and situps all that.
basically, the main idea of this Saturday Run
is to raise the Company's fitness standard
apart from your friday trainings.
don't worry, it won't be too long.
you will be dismissed before 10.
so, i really do hope that you will try and come for this Run.
.
for Part As, it's not complusory,
but highly recommended.
because it will help you in your Part B life, and also your Napfa 2.4km run.
ya.
so for the next run, i really do hope that more of you all
will turn up.

help will come to those
who want to help themselves

[P.S]
anyone of you all want to join AHS X-Country Club?

THE RIDDLE:
A dead man is found in a locked room, hanging from the ceiling 4 ft. above the floor. The room is completely empty, except for a puddle of water below him. How did he die?
THE ANSWER:
He stood on a block of ice and waited for it to melt.

ok, it's good to see that someone has already made a post.
hope to see more though.
but as i said, please do leave your name
at the end of your post.
.
ok serious matters:
This friday, 03/04/2009, is your Affirmation Ceremony.

what is it?
' The Affirmation Ceremony aims to officially welcome Part A cadets as new members of the NCC. The ceremony is traditionally held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium to create pomp and grandeur, which also allows parents to participate in the event, so as to show the NCC’s appreciation for their support of their children in NCC activities.

Since 2007, the ceremony is decentralised to school level every other year due to budget constraints and rationalization of major NCC activities. The decentralized ceremony will be organized by senior cadets and Cadet Officers led by Teacher officers of each school'

However this year, there is a change.
HQNCC requested for schools to combine and host this ceremony.
So on friday, you all will be heading down
to Bedok Green Secondary
where the ceremony is held.
.
since we are guest to the school.
it is a form of courtesy to be dressed in your best.
so please wear a set of No.4
that has your name and school tag on it.
lastly, DO NOT forget your beret.

There are things that you have to do:
there will be an NCC pledge taking.
so please revise on it.

also, there will be a singing of the NCC song.
but there will be a video provided so
you don't have to worry too much.

that's all.
-weien

[EDIT]

NCC Pledge
We, the members of the National Cadet Corps
and youth of the Republic of Singapore,
do hereby pledge to be loyal to the Republic
and the Corps
and to maintain a high standard of discipline
and performances
so that we
may better serve our country.
